Fog, a Slow Bite, and Fish at the Narrows
Out with Noah this morning into a blanket of fog on the river that burned off into a beautiful day. Generation was off, so we started sight fishing the shallows in the trophy area — tough going despite the good visibility. Working down to the Narrows turned things around, with fish coming on scuds and midges. A slow day by Taneycomo standards, but a good one.

Generation was off through the morning, so we started in the trophy area, sight fishing the shallows. We could see fish, but they weren't cooperating — tough going despite the good visibility.
We worked our way down to the Narrows, and that's where things turned around. Our fish came on scuds and midges. A slow day by Taneycomo standards, but a good one — cool fog, clear water, and enough tugs on the line to make it worth being out there.
